Day 2: Paracas - Huacachina (Ica)

08:00am – 10:00am
2 hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, but just as great, where you’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat.

10:30am – 12:30pm
Tour of Paracas National Reserve – one of South America’s biggest protected desert reserves. Stunning Pacific coastline where desert meets ocean.

The National Reserve is famed for its breathtaking Pacific coastline, so you can imagine the birds-eye views. The place to fly in Peru! Your guide can help you book this optional extra or book in advance to secure a spot.

Direct bus from Paracas to Huacachina, a small natural oasis located in the Ica desert.

16:00pm – 18:00pm
2 hours of dune buggying and sandboarding – Ride the dune buggies up and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America. A once in a lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America.

19:00pm – 23:45pm
Luxury bus back to Lima. Sit back and relax on the comfortable seats while you enjoy a movie onboard (e.g Mrs. Doubtfire / Forrest Gump / etc.). Or lay back, cover yourself up with the blanket on your seat, and have a relaxing nap! You will be dropped off directly at your hotel/hostel upon arrival in Lima.

NOTE: For the Easter (Semana Santa) weekend the Ballestas tours (Paracas) on these dates will last only one and a half hours in duration and the Sandboarding/dune-buggy (Huacachina) will last ONLY 1 hour. This is the same for ALL tour operators.

CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel before 6:00pm (Lima time) 7 days before the tour begins or earlier, there is a 20% administration fee (+ the card fee). Within 7 days of the departure, 40% of the ticket price (+ the card fee). Within 3 days of the departure, 60% of the ticket price (+ the card fee). Within 24 hours of departure, a no show, or after departure 100% cancellation fee.
