At 06:30 am, we will pick you up from your hostel or hotel in Quito to begin the trip to Cotopaxi, where you will be able to see panoramic views of the famous Cotopaxi Volcano. Around 7:45 am when we arrive at Chuquiragua Lodge also, we will have breakfast there with generous portions to keep you energized for a full day of exploring Cotopaxi National Park.

At 9 am, we will enter Cotopaxi National Park and visit the interpretation center. If you are lucky, you will have the chance to spot some of the park’s native wildlife. Species that call the park home include wolves, rabbits, bears, and condors. After 1 hour, we will hike to the Limpiopungo Lagoon, a stunning glacial lake in the shadow of the Cotopaxi Volcano and at midday, you can visit the José Rivas Refuge, the main base camp for the volcano. Hike to the surface of a massive glacier before continuing to a scenic lookout point to take in some unbelievable panoramic views of the Cotopaxi Volcano. Then we return to the Chuquiragua Lodge for an afternoon lunch surrounded by gorgeous landscapes and you will have the rest of the day for free to enjoy free use of the spa area at the Chuquiragua Lodge, including both a jacuzzi and sauna. Massages are also available at an extra cost.

We start the second day having breakfast at the hotel, at 8:45 am we depart Chuquiragua Lodge. Around 10 am, we arrive at Quilotoa Village where we will take in a view overlooking the Quilotoa Lagoon, an unbelievable turquoise-colored lake located right inside the caldera of an active volcano. In the afternoon, we will arrive Baños and you have free time until 4 pm. At that time, we are going to visit the famous “Swing at the End of the World” at La Casa del Árbol where you can look out at the epic Tungurahua Volcano and the vast Ecuadorian wilderness below.

You will have a free evening in Baños, you can visit the nearby thermal baths which gave Baños its name and go for a relaxing dip in these healing pools.

After the breakfast the third day, we will pick you up at 8:45 am from the meeting point Juan Montalvo Park to go visit the stunning Pailon del Diablo (Devil’s Cauldron) waterfall. You can ride a cable car over the Pastaza River and experience one of the most extraordinary sights you have ever seen, with 360° views of waterfalls, mountains, and beautiful jungle landscapes.

At 11:30 for an extra cost of $ 20 USD, you can visit the San Martín Adventure Park for zip-lining, canopy walks, rock climbing, trekking and more. Depart Baños in the late afternoon and begin the trip back to Quito, we will drop you off at your hotel/hostel in Quito.

Within 3 days of the departure, 60% of the ticket price. Within 24 hours of departure, a no show, or after departure 100% cancellation fee.
