We star the pick-ups from your hostel or hotel in Quito at 6:30 am to begin the trip to Baños. The first day with this 3 days/ 2 nights tour you will see the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano, one of Ecuador’s most famous sights and one of the highest volcanoes in the world, you will go to the Chuquiragua Lodge, here also we will have the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Then we arrive at Quilotoa Village where we will take in a view overlooking the Quilotoa Lagoon, an unbelievable turquoise-colored lake located right inside the caldera of an active volcano.

Around 1:45 in the afternoon we arrive Baños, you have free time to have lunch and at 4 pm you will go to and ride the “Swing at the End of the World” at La Casa del Árbol where you can look out at the epic Tungurahua Volcano and the vast Ecuadorian wilderness below. After swinging at the End of the World you have the afternoon free, so you can go and visit the nearby thermal baths which gave Baños its name and go for a relaxing dip in these healing pools. You will spend the night at a top-quality accommodation.

At the second day after the breakfast at your hotel, the operator will pick you up around 8:45 am from the meeting point Juan Montalvo Park to begin the day’s activities. At 9 am we will visit the stunning Pailon del Diablo (Devil’s Cauldron) waterfall and you are going to ride a cable car over the Pastaza River for extraordinary with 360° degree views of waterfalls, mountains, and beautiful jungle landscapes.

You will spend the night at a top-quality accommodation in Baños.

The third day after breakfast at your hotel you have the morning free to go around Baños. You can spend the day exploring Baños or taking part in one of the many exciting activities on offer. Options include city tours, quad bike rentals, canyoning, rafting and many more.

At 2:45 pm we depart Baños and begin the trip back to Quito. Around 10 pm we drop you off at your hotel/hostel in Quito.

Within 3 days of the departure, 60% of the ticket price. Within 24 hours of departure, a no show, or after departure 100% cancellation fee.

1. What should I bring to the tour?

   Because Cotopaxi’s weather is unpredictable, we recommend bringing: - Warm clothing, gloves, sunglasses, hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and cotton pants/trousers. Also take a bottle of water, energy drinks & snacks, walking sticks (optional), cash for personal expenses and tips, and a camera/video camera.

They do not provide pick-ups or drop-offs at private residences, Airbnbs, bus terminals etc. Select an alternative close by and be ready there for pick-up at the time on your booking confirmation.
