This is a 3 day short tour from Lima to the Pacific beach town of Paracas and the stunning desert oasis of Huacachina. In Paracas, boat out to Peru’s “Poor Man’s Galapagos” and visit the stunning coastal National Reserve. In Huacachina combine Sandboarding/Dunebuggying with a visit to a local Pisco Vineyard trip. A great 3-day escape from Lima.

OPTIONAL EXTRA (Not included in the price)- Golden Shadows Trek – Tour to the heart of the Paracas National Reserve to experience an unforgettable sunset at Kori-Apu, the Golden mountain (la montaña dorada). As the sun sets, the rocks along the cliffs light up a golden color, and where even the shadows are aglow, lending to the name of the tour. Your guide can help you book this optional extra.
Day 2: Paracas - Huacachina

2-hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, but just as great, where you’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat.

Tour of Paracas National Reserve – one of South America’s biggest protected desert reserves. Stunning Pacific coastline where the desert meets the ocean.
12:30pm – 14:00pm
Direct bus from Paracas to Huacachina, a small natural oasis located in the Ica desert.
16:00pm – 18:00pm
2 hours of dune buggying and sandboarding – Ride the dune buggies up and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America. A once in a lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America.

Night in Huacachina.
Day 3: Huacachina – Lima

Tour of the Pisco Vineyard – see how Pisco, Peru’s national drink, is made from the grape to the bottle and try lots of free samples.

Free time in Huacachina – relax by the pool or enjoy the views atop the dunes while catching the beautiful sunset.

Bus back to Lima. You will be dropped off at your hotel/hostel.

CHANGES: Changes to the time and date of this tour are free until 6:00pm (Lima time) 2 days before the tour begins. After this time there is a 100% change fee.
CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel before 6:00pm (Lima time) 7 days before the tour begins or earlier, there is a 20% administration fee (+ the card fee). Within 7 days of the departure, 40% of the ticket price (+ the card fee). Within 3 days of the departure, 60% of the ticket price (+ the card fee). Within 24 hours of departure, a no show, or after departure 100% cancellation fee.
