Depending on the weather, the tour will begin by climbing to the top of Monserrate to see the breath-taking landscape. This mountain looms over the city centre, and is the iconic landmark of Bogota, sitting at 3,152m above sea level!

After descending, you’ll continue to ¨Plaza de Bolívar¨ where you can see the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Capitolio Nacional, Casa 20 de Julio, Lievano Palace (the Mayor’s Office) and the Palace of Justice.

Following these visits, you’ll then walk (or go by car) through the streets of the historic neighbourhood of La Candelaria. Observe its beautiful colonial architecture and the district’s different attractions, such as the Botero Museum, (closed on Tuesdays) the Colon Theatre, the Chorro de Quevedo and the Eje Ambiental.

The next step of the tour will be the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays), home of the world’s largest pre-Hispanic gold work collection – boasting over 55,000 pieces - which is just a short stroll away. Afterwards, there’ll be a brief stop to learn about the mining and cutting process of emeralds.

After lunch time, you’ll explore the neighbourhoods found to the north and to the west of the city centre, including modern areas such as Zona Rosa, Parque 93, and Usaquén.

At the end of the excursion, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or at a convenient place within the urban area.
