KANTU PERU TOURS
At 1:30pm, we’ll start the tour by picking you up from your hotel. From here we will visit the famous Cusco Cathedral, and its chapels, altars, etc.
Following this tour we will walk to the temple of Qoriqancha, the "Temple of the Sun”. Here you can see and enjoy the Inca constructions of this palace, and at the same time the beauty of the Catholic influence, as here the Spanish colonists constructed their church on Inca foundations.
From the temple of Qoriqancha you’ll depart Cusco by mini-bus, and journey to 4 incredible archaeological sites.
Sacsayhuaman, with its incredible stones, each one weighing more than 100 tons. Here you can learn about the history and culture, and discover the meaning and importance of this beautiful place.
Then, just 5 minutes away from Sacsayhuaman, we will reach Qenqo, and see its magical altar. After, you will enjoy the archaeological sites of Puka Pukara (Red Fort) and Tambomachay (Temple of Water).
Ending our tour, we will return by mini-bus to Cusco’s city centre (San Francisco square).
Important: Easter weekend holidays (from 18th to 21st April) the Cathedral is closed.
Note: If you are staying at a different location than the one you select as your pick up location, it is explicitly your responsibility to be at the main entrance of the hotel or hostel selected as your pick up location for the duration of the pickup time range on your tour date. What happens if the tourist bus cannot pick us up at the hotel because the street is too narrow?
In this case, you would have to go to the nearest street with access for large buses, which you will be informed of one day before the tour.
What kind of clothes should I wear?
You should wear light clothing, as it allows you to move comfortably through all the attractions; sometimes you have to climb stairs. It is also recommended to wear warm clothes, because afternoons tend to be cold and/or rainy.
When is the best time to take the tour?
Generally, any day of the year is incredible, but if you want to avoid a little rain we recommend the months from April to August.
