DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The best way to discover Ecuador’s Andean landscape is by bike! Don’t think twice, come with us and we will provide you with the best equipment necessary to get to Cotopaxi National Park. Apart from being able to explore Limpiopungo Lagoon, you’ll also view the highest active volcano, which sits at 5,897 metres (19,347 feet), and find out why Cotopaxi means “Moon’s Throne”.

After departing from Quito at 7:00am, you’ll get breakfast and be taken to the Park. This tour involves hiking and an optional downhill biking activity. Inside the National Park, you’ll hike Rinconada or the camping zone to Limpiopungo lake, and learn about this incredible place. After you’ve worked up an appetite, you’ll be taken for lunch outside of the Park, before returning to Quito for 5:00pm approx.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation or changes of this tour:

Changes: It is FREE to change the tour date before 5:00 pm (Quito time) the day before the tour begins.

Cancellations: If you cancel before 5:00 pm (Quito time) 2 days before the tour begins, a 10% administration fee will apply. After this time, there is a 100% cancellation fee.

    Because Cotopaxi’s weather is unpredictable, we recommend bringing: - Warm clothing, gloves, sunglasses, hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and cotton pants/trousers. Also take a bottle of water, energy drinks & snacks, walking sticks (optional), cash for personal expenses and tips, and a camera/video camera.
