DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The First Stop: This Lima tour starts at a local roastery, Tostaduria Bisetti, where they hand-pick the coffee beans daily, for an organic Peruvian coffee. You will also tour the colonial streets of the bohemian district, Barranco, home to artists, musicians and the city’s top art galleries. You'll also try an exotic fruit smoothie made from lucuma at the garden cafe, La Bodega Verde.

The Second Stop: From here you’ll visit a traditional market in the San Isidro district to try exotic fruits and local products and learn the ancient myths and legends associated with them.

The Third Stop: At one of the city’s top seafood restaurants (cebichería), Embarcadero 41 Fusión, on Avenida La Mar in the Miraflores district – a stop other tours in Lima won’t take you. You’ll discover the secrets to the perfect Cebiche and Pisco Sour as you prepare the dish and cocktail yourself with the head chef and bartender.

The Final Stop: Finally we stop for lunch at la Huaca Pucllana, a restaurant within a pre-Incan archeological complex – undoubtedly a highlight of tourism in Lima Peru. This prestigious restaurant is so impressive that the King of Spain, Mick Jagger, Bill and Hillary Clinton, just to name a few, have made sure not to miss it during their trips to Lima. You’ll enjoy a variety of gourmet Peruvian dishes as well as four different desserts and another pisco-based cocktail.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  1. I cannot find my accommodation listed in the operator pick up locations as I make my booking. What can I select?

This operator only offers pick-ups from the hotel and hostel accommodation listed, this covers over 90% of the accommodation providers in the area. They do not provide pick-ups or drop-offs at private residences, Airbnbs, bus terminals etc. Select an alternative close by and be ready there for pick-up at the time on your booking confirmation

  2. How far in advance should I book my tour?

Due to the growing demand for our tours, the sooner you book, the better. If you're 100% convinced about choosing us to show you the best of Lima, don't leave the reservations until the last minute because we can fill up pretty quickly.

  3. What is the minimum number of passengers?

There is no minimum number of passengers for the tour. We are more than happy to accommodate guests travelling alone. For our Day Tours, however, on the off-chance that we don't receive any other bookings for the day of your tour, we generally replace the ceviche class with a ceviche tasting in which the passenger will try four different variations of the Peruvian dish, accompanied by a detailed explanation of the preparation process from our culinary experts.

  4. How many people will be on the tour?

The number of passengers on any given tour can vary, however, we like to keep our groups below 10 people. Of course, larger groups and special events are welcome and will be arranged separately.

  5. How safe are the food and water for international tourists?

Don't be afraid to dig in! Health standards in restaurants are generally upheld without exception in Lima, however, it is not advisable to purchase food from street vendors. Although many dishes they offer may be fine, there is no way to know, so it's better to save yourself a trip to the local pharmacy. The tap water is not clean enough to drink without boiling first, so make sure you only drink bottled water while in Peru.

  7. What is the best way to get from the airport to Miraflores?

Miraflores now has a direct bus link between it and the airport in Callao (Jorge Chavez International Airport) via the new official service Airport Express Lima. These new luxury buses are equipped with free wifi and usb charging ports at every seat. Tickets are $8 one way.
