DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Dos Mangas is a hidden mountain village located 15 minutes from Montañita, along the Chongón Colonche mountain range. Named after its two crossing rivers, Dos Mangas has become a community based on eco-tourism, famous for its work with tagua (vegetable ivory), paja toquilla (famously known as "panama" hats), and local artesanias (handmade artwork). Enjoy the afternoon on a unique hike through the rainforest, and discover the extensive vegetation and great variety of flora and fauna in this area.

An adventure from start to finish, we’ll depart from the office at 10:00am. In Dos Mangas, you’ll be able to see tarantulas, monkeys, and more than a hundred species of birds (many of which are in danger of extinction), amongst other animals that are native to the area. On this tour, you will be constantly surprised by the drastic changes in your surroundings - just 20 minutes into the hike, you’ll leave behind the sand and waves to enter this beautiful rainforest, with its abundance of rivers, natural swimming pools, and waterfalls. Here you can swim, so don’t forget your bathing suit and towel!
