Your trip will commence at 8:00am, with transport from your hotel. We will firstly venture into the Maipo mountain valley, where you’ll get amazing views of the high peaks, and of the Maipo river from our 4x4 truck. We will then get into the Morado Valley.
Hiking begins between the huge rock walls of the Arenas Mountain. We will follow the trail, go along the river, and cross several moraines. Experience the sights from the great lookout, over the spectacular Morado Lagoon and the glacier. Enjoy your snack watching icebergs and walls of ice. After, you can walk around the lagoon, and see the ice wall over the water.
When the descent starts, you'll enjoy different views of the narrow valley, the moraines and the summits. Take in the beautiful image of the San Jose Volcano and the glaciers over it!
After, you’ll return to the 4x4, and go by road back to your hotel or meeting point in Santiago. Expected arrival time is 7:30pm.
