This tour will depart at Quito at 7:00am.
Driving north of Quito, you will find the most famous indigenous market in Ecuador, Otavalo, a place full of traditions and handcrafts. Before arriving to this magical place, you will visit Calderon, a small town famous for “Mazapan” handicrafts. Following this is a stop in Cayambe, the perfect place to see how people prepare biscuits using a traditional technique. The next stop will be a view point, where you can enjoy the landscape of the Imbabura Volcano (4,610m) and San Pablo Lagoon.
Your next and most eagerly-awaited visit will be at Otavalo market, where you will spend time shopping and relaxing with your friends. Be prepared to fall in love with the wide variety of handicrafts.
After, you will go to Cotacachi to have a delicious lunch and explore the local workshops. There’s a great view to be seen of the surrounding landscape at Cuicocha’s view point.
