DAY 1: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY– AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHUPICCHU TOWN)
Our tour starts from the city of Cusco, we will pick you up from your Hostel/Hotel between 8:00 am to 8:30 am. Then we will start the tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas conducted by a professional and knowledgeable guide, along this day we will stop at important points to visit archaeological sites and craft markets.
Our first stop will be in the handicraft market of Corao to buy some souvenirs made by local people. Then we will go to the Archaeological Complex of Pisaq, which is located approximately 1 hour from the city of Cusco, here we will find constructions and Inca terraces of great importance since these served as an area of adaptation for some products of the Inca region, besides also serving as a monitoring place for the entrance to the Sacred Valley.
Here we will have a guided tour for approximately 1 hour where our bilingual guide will give us an ample information about the most important sectors of this archaeological zone. We will visit the religious sector conformed by temples, the urban sector, the cemetery Inca and finally the agricultural terraces.
Then we will travel along the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through some indigenous villages such as Coya, Lamay, Calca, Yucay and finally we will reach the capital of the Sacred Valley of the Incas - Urubamba.
Here we will have a 1 hour stop to enjoy our lunch in a tourist restaurant, lunch can be paid directly in the same place.
Right after lunch we will continue our journey until we reach the town of Ollantaytambo the famous Inca Living Village, where we will have the guided visit to the archaeological complex, we will also see the impressive face that is distinguished in the hill, of the famous god Tunupa, thus ending the Sacred Valley Tour at 4:30 pm in Ollantaytambo.
Afterwards, we will board the train at Ollantaytambo station at 19:00 pm or 21:00 pm heading to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo). We will travel by train for around 1 hour with 45 minutes to Aguas Calientes, where someone will be waiting with your name to take you to the Hostel and at night the guide will go to your Hostel for a briefing about Machu Picchu.
DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
The most important day of our trip is to get to know one of the 7 wonders of the world; Machu Picchu, and we have two ways to get there:
By Walking: through an unpaved trail, this hike lasts 1 hour with 30 minutes of pure ascent. People wishing to walk this way should leave the hostel very early at 4:30 am to reach the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu very early and appreciate the sunrise.
By Bus: .You would have to take the first bus at 5:30 am to arrive early to Machu Picchu and be able to appreciate the sunrise. The bus ride takes only half an hour, then we'll visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu for about 2 hours accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will explain the historical legacy and the complete description of this grandiose and imposing attraction.
At the appropriate time, you'll descend from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes by bus or walking so that you can have lunch with tranquility and board the return train at 6:20 pm or 9:50 pm to Ollantaytambo. Our tourist transport will be awaiting for you to take you to the city of Cusco, where we will be arriving at approximately 22:30 pm first train, or at 01:30 am the second train at the Regocijo square.
Note 1: You must email us a scanned copy or photograph of your passport immediately after you have booked your tour. This is to enable the purchase of your Machu Picchu entrance ticket. It must be the passport you will use to enter Machu Picchu itself. This is a requirement when booking any tour of Machu Picchu from any operator.
Note 2: If you are staying at a different location than the one you select as your pick up location, it is explicitly your responsibility to be at the main entrance of the hotel or hostel selected as your pick up location for the duration of the pickup time range on your tour date. You must be in a visible place easy to see for the operator and be alert for their vehicle/guide when they go to pick you up for the tour.

How much is the tourist ticket?
There are 2 types of tourist ticket: - General tourist ticket, which has a cost of 130.00 soles and includes 16 attractions. Among them are: Attractions of the city tour, the Sacred Valley, Maras - Moray, and some museums. - Partial tourist ticket, which has a cost of 70.00 soles, and includes only certain attractions depending on the tour that takes place: City Tour, Sacred Valley, and Maras - Moray.
How do I avoid altitude sickness?
Take Soroche (Diamox) pills, eat small meals, drink coca tea, drink lots of water, and avoid alcohol (it’s a dehydrator). The best way to avoid altitude sickness is to acclimatize yourself. The recommended approach for acclimatization is to ascend gradually, spending at least 24 hours at every 2,000ft increase in altitude.
Is the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu worth it?
The walk up to Machu Picchu can be seen as part of the experience. However, the bus is an option for those who are tired after a long trek, or who just want to save their energy for all the walking at the top. The tickets are purchased in Aguas Calientes, please ask your guide for assistance. The cost is 24 USD for roundtrip and 12 USD one way.
Where is Huayna (Wayna) Picchu?
Huayna Picchu Mountain is the peak located to the north of Machu Picchu citadel. It is the backdrop to the classic image of Machu Picchu. The peak offers inspiring views of the ruins and 360° views of the area. The climb to the summit takes 45 minutes, it is a challenging trek and is very steep in parts. Limited to 400 a day, tickets must be purchased as a combo ticket at the same time as your entrance to Machu Picchu. This ticket cannot be purchased separately, it has to be purchased as a combo and is always in high demand. It costs approximately $18 extra.
What is Machu Picchu Mountain?
Machu Picchu Mountain is the peak located to the south-west of Machu Picchu citadel. The trek offers unparalleled sights of the ruins and panoramic views of the surrounding scenery. The trek is wide and well-marked. It is a moderate/challenging trek and takes 90 minutes to ascend. Limited to 800 a day, tickets must be purchased as a combo ticket at the same time as your entrance to Machu Picchu. This ticket cannot be purchased separately, it has to be purchased along with Machu Picchu entrance ticket. It costs around $18 extra.
How can I add Huayna Picchu/ Machu Picchu Mountain to my booking?
