The tour begins with pick-up from your hotel or hostel. When you arrive in Barra do Cunhaú, you may feel like you’re facing a huge freshwater lake, rather than the Atlantic Ocean. This is a paradise-place, with 5km of dunes and beaches, where the Curimataú and Catú rivers cross. A large mangrove is home to oysters, crabs and other marine animals. For an incredible experience, ride a boat along the rivers to see the mangrove and the crab hunting.
After visiting Barra do Cunhaú, you will go to Baía Formosa and have lunch there. We will stay until 4:00pm, so there’ll be time to absorb the beauty of the area, as well as to do a buggy tour. Later, you’ll be dropped off back to your hotel or hostel.

What time zone is used in Natal?
Local time in Natal is GMT -3 , the same as on Brazil's mainland.
What kind of weather can we find in Natal?
Natal has a hot and humid tropical climate, with little temperature variation throughout the year. It rains a great deal - this is a rain-forest area after all - but there is a “dry” season between September and January when the rainfall lessens. Cool trade winds blowing in off the coast help to keep temperatures bearable, but high humidity can make the air feel sticky. February and March are the hottest months in Natal, with an average temperature of 32°C (°F). The coldest months are July and August, at 22°C (°F).
What should I bring to the tour?
You should bring comfortable clothes, walking shoes, a swimsuit, a towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a raincoat (for rainy season). Don't forget to take your camera, and extra cash for personal expenses.
