DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The meeting points are the Tourist Information Centers located at Jose Larco ave. 799 and Diagonal ave. 494 (next to Kennedy Park). From there, the group will go Downtown by famous local transportation, the Metropolitano Bus. After approximately 25 minutes of travel, we will arrive at our first stop – San Martin Square. Here, we can admire the exquisite neo-colonial architecture and learn exciting facts about this historical plaza.
After San Martín Square, we will walk through “Jirón de la Unión”, one of the most crowded and commercial streets Downtown, for many years the main street of the city, it was known because of its aristocracy, and the wealthy distinguished people that used to gather in the different establishments on it. On this street, we will find beautiful buildings declared UNESCO World Heritage.

Our next stop is the Main Square, where we will be able to check out the City Hall of Lima, the Government Palace, and the famous Cathedral of Lima - whose construction was more than 300 years ago!

Then, we will go to the Alameda Chabuca Granda, where we will see the movement of the Lima afternoon and find some delicious street food, music, and even small local shows.

We will walk along one side, passing by the church and Convent of Santo Domingo and its small square to get to the Monument to Taulichusco, who was the last local leader before the Spanish founding of Lima, and there is where our tour will end.
