Puerto Hondo is a rural area found within the limits of Guayaquil, 40 minutes from the centre of the city. Puerto Hondo has the feel of a small village, and contains a mangrove ecosystem.
The whole excursion takes a total of 3 hours, which includes two hours of free time kayaking in the mangroves, plus a taxi ride to and from Guayaquil.
