DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The city of Natal has always been known for its dunes – come with us and experience the thrill of the ride! Following hotel/hostel pick-up, you’ll buggy out of the hotel, going through beaches and past lagoons. An unforgettable ride! You’ll pass by Natal aquarium (Redinha), and Santa Rita (Genipabu), where you’ll find dromedaries.

You’ll board the ferry (with the buggies) to go to Barra do Rio. Here, you’ll go to the golden dunes and the Pitangui Lagoon. There’ll be around 40 minutes which you can spend in the lagoon bar. Then you’ll head to the dunes and the Jacumã Lagoon, where you can have lunch in a restaurant by the sea. Depending on sea conditions, we’ll extend the ride to Porto Mirim and Muriu before returning to Natal. You’ll be dropped off back to your hotel/hostel.

Note: Minimum of 2 passengers for this tour.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  1. What time zone is used in Natal?

Local time in Natal is GMT -3, the same as on Brazil's mainland.

  2. What kind of weather can we find in Natal?

Natal has a hot and humid tropical climate, with little temperature variation throughout the year. It rains a great deal - this is a rainforest area, after all - but there is a “dry” season between September and January, when the rainfall lessens. Cool trade winds blowing in off the coast help to keep temperatures bearable, but high humidity can make the air feel sticky. February and March are the hottest months in Natal, with an average temperature of 32°C (°F), and the coldest are July and August at 22°C (°F).

  3. What should I bring to the tour?

You should bring comfortable clothes, walking shoes, a swimsuit and towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a raincoat (for rainy season). Don't forget to bring your camera and extra cash for any personal expenses.

  4. Can I drive the buggy myself?

No, it is not possible to drive the buggies. All of the drivers are certified: you cannot drive a buggy through the dunes without certification and special permits. You’ll understand why once you’ve done the tour!

  5. Are the buggies safe?

Yes, our buggies are extremely safe. Our drivers will make sure you have a lot of fun, but never take any risks. All seats have a seat-belt to ensure you are strapped in safely.
